YOUR BROKEN FAMILY IS NOT HUMAN NATURE
How Dysfunction Became Dating Advice, Manipulation Became “Standards,” Outrage Became Authority, and Millions Started Teaching Their Unhealed Family Systems as Universal Laws of Men and Women
YOUR BROKEN FAMILY IS NOT HUMAN NATURE
Stop turning dysfunction into doctrine, provocation into “standards,” contempt into empowerment, and your personal wounds into universal laws about men and women.
I am fucking exhausted by people taking whatever survival strategies they learned inside dysfunctional relationships and announcing them to the rest of civilization as the laws of human nature.
Your childhood is not anthropology.
Your ex is not a representative sample of men.
Your mother is not every woman.
Your father is not every father.
Whatever happened inside your house is not automatically “how relationships work.”
And owning an iPhone did not ordain you as an authority on marriage.
Somewhere along the way, access to a camera became confused with possession of wisdom. Somebody experiences three chaotic relationships, opens TikTok or Instagram, points a camera at herself, and suddenly she is explaining what “a real man” does.
“A real man would understand.”
“A masculine man wouldn’t argue.”
“If he loved you, he would know.”
“Protect your peace.”
“Test him.”
“Pull away and see what he does.”
“Mention another man and watch his reaction.”
“Make him prove himself.”
“Don’t tell him what’s wrong. If he’s really your man, he should know.”
What the fuck are we talking about?
That is not intimacy.
That is not communication.
That is not discernment.
That is a person deliberately introducing instability into a relationship and then judging the other person for responding to the instability she deliberately created.
THE TEST ITSELF IS THE PROBLEM
Strip away the cute vocabulary and look at the actual procedure.
You intentionally create a condition that otherwise would not exist.
You withhold information.
You become distant.
You provoke jealousy.
You make a disrespectful comment.
You manufacture uncertainty.
You imply something you do not mean.
Then you sit back and observe.
“Let me see what he does.”
Why?
Why are you secretly conducting experiments on somebody you supposedly love?
You are not his girlfriend at that point. You have appointed yourself laboratory technician, examiner, prosecutor, and judge.
And the game is rigged because whatever he does becomes evidence against him.
He objects strongly?
“He’s emotionally dysregulated.”
He asks why you did it?
“He’s insecure.”
He refuses to tolerate it?
“His ego is wounded.”
He walks away?
“He never cared.”
He stays?
Now you know you can do it again.
That is fucking madness.
A relationship built on covert testing eventually teaches both people not to trust what is directly in front of them.
Every silence may contain a hidden test.
Every withdrawal may be strategic.
Every reference to another person may be bait.
Every disagreement may have an undisclosed grading rubric attached to it.
You cannot manufacture insecurity repeatedly and then congratulate yourself for discovering insecurity.
Sometimes you did not “reveal his character.”
Sometimes you created a fucking problem.
AND STOP USING HIS REACTION TO ERASE WHAT YOU DID
This one is particularly dishonest.
Someone says something disrespectful.
The other person gets angry.
Suddenly the entire conversation becomes:
“Why are you yelling?”
“You need to calm down.”
“You’re being defensive.”
“You’re arguing with me.”
No.
We can evaluate two different events.
What you did.
And how I responded.
Maybe my response was excessive. Fine. Evaluate it.
That does not acquit you.
If you falsely accuse somebody and he yells, “THAT’S FUCKING FALSE,” the decibel level does not make your accusation true.
Volume is not a rebuttal.
Being visibly angry does not rewrite chronology.
You do not get retroactive innocence because you preferred the tone in which your behavior was confronted.
That rhetorical trick has become unbelievably common: ignore the initiating conduct, isolate the reaction, pathologize the reaction, and then use the diagnosis of the reaction to erase the initiating conduct.
Fuck that.
Accountability has to travel both directions.
“EMOTIONAL SAFETY” CANNOT MEAN IMMUNITY FROM CONTRADICTION
A healthy relationship cannot operate under the rule that one person gets to criticize while the other person must receive criticism beautifully or become the offender.
You can listen to someone completely and still conclude that she is wrong.
You can love someone completely and still say:
“What you just did was disrespectful.”
You can understand why somebody feels something without agreeing with the conclusion she drew from the feeling.
That is adulthood.
Otherwise “emotional safety” becomes a euphemism for:
You are required to make my emotional interpretation sovereign over your own judgment.
No.
Your feelings are real because you experience them.
Your interpretation of events can still be wrong.
Mine can too.
That is precisely why adults talk instead of secretly testing each other.
THIS ISN’T JUST MY OPINION ABOUT CONFLICT
Longitudinal relationship research has repeatedly found that destructive conflict patterns matter.
A 16-year longitudinal study of married couples examined conflict behaviors and later divorce. Destructive behaviors and patterns of conflict were associated with marital outcomes across the study period. The point is not that one raised voice automatically destroys a marriage; the point is that recurring ways of handling conflict become part of the relationship architecture.
Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3777640/
And notice something important about actual relationship research: researchers study both partners.
Not “what must men do so women never experience an unpleasant emotion?”
Both people.
Because a functioning relationship has reciprocal obligations.
The man must be accountable.
The woman must be accountable.
The man cannot humiliate her.
The woman cannot humiliate him.
The man cannot manipulate her.
The woman cannot manipulate him.
Neither person gets a psychological vocabulary exemption.
YOUR FAMILY OF ORIGIN ACTUALLY DOES MATTER
Here is where the conversation becomes much bigger than dumb dating content.
People learn relationships somewhere.
Children watch adults.
They see what anger looks like.
They see what reconciliation looks like.
They see whether somebody apologizes.
They see whether promises mean anything.
They see whether conflict gets resolved or merely buried.
They see whether affection gets weaponized.
They see whether Mom despises Dad.
They see whether Dad humiliates Mom.
They see whether adults remain responsible when life becomes inconvenient.
And research supports the broader proposition that relationship patterns can carry across generations.
A prospective study following people from their family of origin into later romantic relationships found that hostility in the family of origin predicted later hostile marital interaction and lower positive engagement. That is far more useful than pretending our relationship behaviors materialize out of nowhere when we turn eighteen.
Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3072794/
Research also documents an intergenerational transmission of union instability: people who experience greater relationship instability in the parental generation are, on average, more likely to experience instability in their own unions. The mechanisms are not one magical variable; scholarship considers learned relationship skills, commitment, socioeconomic conditions, partner selection, and other pathways.
Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5453673/
Another study specifically discusses possible transmission through economic hardship, characteristics affecting relationships, relationship skills, and commitment.
Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6233917/
So when I say your family history matters, that is not an insult.
It is an invitation to fucking examine it.
FATHER ABSENCE IS NOT DESTINY — BUT PRETENDING IT MEANS NOTHING IS JUST AS STUPID
People get extremely emotional here because they hear a population-level statement as a declaration about an individual human being.
Those are different things.
Having an absent father does not make a woman defective.
Having a present father does not guarantee that she has good character.
A terrible father can be physically present every day.
A woman can lose her father, grow up without him, recognize exactly what she missed, do serious internal work, and become an extraordinary partner and mother.
Individual people are individuals.
But that does not require us to pretend fathers are interchangeable furniture.
A major review of research using stronger causal designs concluded that father absence showed the strongest and most consistent adverse effects in areas including high-school graduation, children’s social-emotional adjustment, and adult mental health, while also noting that more rigorous estimates tend to be smaller than naïve cross-sectional associations.
Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3904543/
That is the responsible claim.
Not:
“No father = bad woman.”
And not:
“Fathers don’t matter.”
Both are intellectually lazy.
The useful question when choosing somebody with whom to build a family is much more serious:
What model of love, responsibility, masculinity, femininity, conflict, loyalty, parenthood, and repair did this person actually witness—and what have they consciously accepted or rejected from that model?
That is a grown-ass question.
YOUR TRAUMA IS EVIDENCE. IT IS NOT A CONSTITUTION.
That may be the simplest sentence in this entire piece.
Your trauma is evidence about what happened to you. It is not a constitution for everybody else’s family.
If three men betrayed you, that is evidence that three men betrayed you.
It is not evidence that “men cheat.”
If three women manipulated you, that is evidence concerning those three women.
It is not evidence that “women manipulate.”
If nobody in the family you remember maintained a functional marriage, that experience may give you tremendous insight into how families break.
It does not automatically make you an authority on how somebody else maintained one for forty years.
We understand this distinction everywhere else.
If somebody bankrupted fifteen restaurants, I might absolutely interview him about mistakes that kill restaurants.
I probably would not place him at the head of a table full of people who successfully operated restaurants for forty years and announce:
“Everybody be quiet. He’s going to explain how restaurants work.”
Yet social media does the relationship equivalent every fucking day.
Catastrophic relationship history gets rebranded as expertise about relationships.
Maybe the expertise is actually about catastrophe.
There is nothing shameful about that.
Just label the fucking dataset correctly.
AUTOBIOGRAPHY IS NOT SOCIOLOGY
This is one of the biggest intellectual failures on social media.
“This happened to me.”
becomes:
“Men do this.”
Then somebody else comments:
“Exactly!”
Then another:
“This happened to me too!”
Then ten thousand likes appear.
Suddenly everybody treats the proposition like it survived peer review.
It did not.
Ten thousand people recognizing themselves inside the same narrative does not prove the narrative describes eight billion people.
Recognition is not verification.
Virality is not measurement.
Consensus inside a selected audience is not universal truth.
And a comment section is not civilization.
THE PHONE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT: IT COLLAPSED THE DISTANCE BETWEEN OPINION AND DISTRIBUTION
This part is documented too.
A Science Advances study examining millions of social-media posts, followed by controlled experiments, found evidence that social reinforcement—likes and shares—and perceived network norms can increase subsequent expressions of moral outrage.
Source: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.abe5641
The open-access version is here:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8363141/
Another large study published in PNAS found that language attacking or referring negatively to an out-group was an especially strong predictor of social-media sharing in the political datasets examined. In those data, each additional term referring to the political out-group was associated with substantially higher odds of sharing.
Source: https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.2024292118
That research was political, not dating research, so do not dishonestly pretend it directly proves that Instagram rewards “men are trash” or “women are evil.”
But it demonstrates the underlying incentive problem clearly:
Hostility and outrage can be rewarded with attention.
Now apply ordinary human learning.
A nuanced video saying:
“Both partners bring histories into conflict, context matters, listen carefully, establish boundaries, acknowledge your own mistakes, and stop universalizing individual experiences”
is boring as fuck to an outrage machine.
“REAL MEN NEVER…”
gets a reaction.
“WOMEN ALWAYS…”
gets a reaction.
“IF HE DOES THIS, LEAVE HIM.”
Reaction.
“TEST YOUR GIRLFRIEND LIKE THIS.”
Reaction.
Congratulations.
The war between the sexes is now content inventory.
THE PLATFORM DOES NOT HAVE TO CARE WHETHER YOUR ADVICE WORKS
This is what people fail to understand.
The platform does not need the couple to remain together for forty years.
The creator does not necessarily need the advice to produce healthy grandchildren.
The content only needs to perform as content.
The incentives are therefore completely different.
A stable marriage is measured over decades.
A Reel is measured over hours.
A good spouse eventually has to confront reality.
A successful creator only has to confront analytics.
Those are not the same feedback systems.
One measures whether your philosophy survives life.
The other measures whether somebody moved a thumb.
And society started confusing the second scoreboard with the first.
NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THE “CIA SCRIPT” WITHOUT SAYING STUPID SHIT
People hear “CIA” and immediately either believe every conspiracy imaginable or dismiss the entire documented history of covert cultural influence.
Both positions are childish.
The documented history is already wild enough.
The CIA itself describes the Congress for Cultural Freedom as one of its notable Cold War covert operations. The organization supported publications, conferences, intellectual activity, and broader cultural efforts intended to contest Soviet influence.
CIA historical account:
CIA Reading Room records also preserve documentation concerning Gloria Steinem’s leadership of the Independent Research Service and the organization’s secret CIA funding for American youth participation in Cold War international festivals.
CIA Reading Room document:
https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP75-00149R000700220013-0.pdf
Another CIA Reading Room archival document addressing the connection is here:
https://www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP88-01315R000300380009-2.pdf
So this sentence is historically defensible:
American intelligence has covertly participated in attempts to influence cultural and intellectual environments.
That happened.
It is documented.
What is not established by those documents is that somebody in Langley currently writes your girlfriend’s Instagram relationship captions.
Do not invent evidence you do not possess.
You do not fucking need to.
The stronger argument is that once a cultural template exists, modern distribution systems can replicate and reinforce scripts without requiring a government employee to personally manufacture every iteration.
Creator copies creator.
Follower copies creator.
Caption becomes phrase.
Phrase becomes meme.
Meme becomes norm.
Norm becomes assumed reality.
The machine can reproduce scripts through imitation and reinforcement regardless of who wrote the first sentence.
That is more interesting than pretending there is a CIA officer manually scheduling “test your boyfriend” Reels at 9 a.m.
I DON’T NEED TO INVENT A FAIRY TALE THAT EVERY CIVILIZATION FELL BECAUSE WOMEN STARTED MISBEHAVING
That would be bullshit history.
Civilizations are complicated systems. Wars, disease, institutional breakdown, political conflict, resource constraints, economic shocks, demographic changes, technological changes, governance, family structures, religion, migration, and dozens of other variables interact.
You cannot responsibly point at Rome, Babylon, America, or any other civilization and announce:
“Women became promiscuous. Civilization ended.”
That is internet history masquerading as scholarship.
The documented family evidence is already serious enough.
Repeated family-structure transitions are associated with worse developmental outcomes on average, though the size and mechanism depend heavily on the type of transition, context, selection effects, and outcome measured.
Source:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3171291/
More recent scholarship likewise treats family instability as a meaningful dimension of children’s lives rather than reducing everything to a simplistic married/not-married binary.
Source:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7388657/
And internationally, family structures, marriage, and divorce vary enormously across countries; the OECD maintains extensive cross-national indicators precisely because there is no honest one-variable story explaining all societies.
OECD Family Database:
https://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/en/data/datasets/oecd-family-database.html
So I do not need fake history.
I can say something much cleaner:
Societies are composed of relationships. Relationships create households. Households raise the next generation. Therefore norms that systematically make trust, commitment, responsibility, and stable caregiving harder deserve serious scrutiny.
That proposition does not require blaming women for civilization.
It requires adults to stop celebrating behavior that makes adults incapable of trusting one another.
THE “BE A HOE” POSTURE IS NOT REVOLUTIONARY
And yes, we need to talk about this shit too.
I am not talking about policing somebody’s private sex life.
Adults can make their own choices.
I am talking about the ideology around disposability.
Everybody is replaceable.
Never need anybody.
Keep options open.
Attention equals value.
Sexual desirability equals power.
Make people jealous.
Maintain backups.
Never appear more invested.
Whoever cares less wins.
Withdraw affection strategically.
Make them chase.
Never let them become comfortable.
Create competition.
Keep one foot outside the relationship.
That philosophy cannot magically become trust because somebody eventually puts a wedding dress on.
You practiced nonattachment as power.
You practiced jealousy as proof.
You practiced optionality as security.
You practiced vulnerability avoidance as intelligence.
Then one day you announce that you want unconditional trust, permanence, and emotional security.
Built out of what?
Where were those muscles trained?
You cannot practice leverage for ten years and be shocked that partnership feels foreign.
And this applies to men too.
Men bragging about fucking everybody, lying to women, keeping ten women around, manipulating attachment, and treating intimacy as conquest are training themselves in the same garbage architecture.
Then some of them turn thirty-eight and start complaining that nobody is “wife material.”
Brother, look in the fucking mirror.
You practiced being disposable too.
MEN HAVE TO STOP FUNDING THE BEHAVIOR THEY CLAIM TO HATE
This entire system would weaken overnight if desperate men stopped rewarding conduct they privately despise.
Some men will tolerate virtually anything for sexual access.
Disrespect.
Humiliation.
Manipulation.
Being kept around as a backup.
Being lied to.
Being publicly embarrassed.
Being made to compete.
Endless fucking “tests.”
And then these same men complain that women have impossible standards.
Brother.
You are subsidizing the standard.
If somebody learns that treating you terribly has no consequence because you are terrified she might stop sleeping with you, why exactly would the behavior change?
You taught her that your boundary is imaginary.
Stop it.
Sex is not worth surrendering your dignity.
A beautiful face does not transform contempt into compatibility.
Being selected by somebody you should have rejected is not winning.
And a man who believes his only chance at intimacy is agreeing with everything a woman says is not protecting women.
He is abandoning judgment because he desperately wants approval.
That does neither sex any favors.
STOP AUDITIONING FOR PEOPLE YOU SHOULD HAVE DISQUALIFIED
This is probably the lesson I wish more men learned earlier.
Your objective is not to become so psychologically sophisticated that you can survive unlimited dysfunction.
You do not need a PhD in decoding disrespect.
You do not need the perfect sentence after the twentieth covert test.
You do not need to become impossible to provoke so somebody else can provoke you forever.
You can simply say:
This is not somebody I build with.
That is allowed.
A man with standards does not need every woman to approve of the standard.
A woman with standards does not need every man to approve either.
Selection matters.
Stop entering relationships based almost entirely on attraction and then spending three years negotiating whether the other person possesses basic character.
Look earlier.
How does this person treat people when disappointed?
Can they admit being wrong?
Do they apologize without attaching a counterattack?
Do they keep confidences?
Do they speak respectfully about people they claim to love?
What relationships have they maintained?
What did their family teach them?
What did they consciously reject from their family?
Can they disagree without attempting to humiliate?
Do they manipulate?
Do they manufacture jealousy?
Does every conflict require an audience?
Do they interpret accountability as oppression?
Do they actually know how to repair something?
Those questions matter more than ninety percent of the bullshit dating discourse online.
AND WOMEN WHO RUN THESE GAMES NEED TO STOP CALLING THEM EMPOWERMENT
This is not about women as a biological category.
There are extraordinary women.
There are terrible women.
There are extraordinary men.
There are terrible men.
The target here is behavior.
So if you are a woman intentionally provoking your boyfriend to evaluate his response:
Stop.
If you deliberately introduce other men into the conversation to create jealousy:
Stop.
If you insult him and then call him emotionally immature because he objects:
Stop.
If you expect him to understand your internal state without communicating it and then punish him for guessing incorrectly:
Stop.
If every boundary he establishes becomes “control” while every boundary you establish becomes sacred:
Stop.
If your friends automatically validate everything you do because “girls support girls”:
That is not support.
Sometimes friendship means saying:
“Girl, you were fucking wrong.”
A person who helps you rationalize every destructive impulse is not necessarily protecting you.
They may be helping you destroy something valuable while applauding.
AND MEN DO NOT GET AN EXEMPTION
If you scream insults at a woman to intimidate her, that is not masculinity.
If you cheat constantly and call it biology, fuck off.
If you financially control somebody because you enjoy power, that is not leadership.
If you refuse every apology because “men don’t apologize,” you are an idiot.
If you make women jealous intentionally, run endless loyalty tests, demand access to everything, isolate them from friends, or punish vulnerability, you are operating the same dysfunctional machinery with different branding.
The standard is reciprocal because reality is reciprocal.
No sex gets diplomatic immunity from character.
A STABLE FAMILY DOES NOT MEAN TWO PEOPLE STAYING UNDER ONE ROOF WHILE DESTROYING EACH OTHER
This distinction matters enormously.
The argument for stable families cannot become:
“Never leave under any circumstances.”
High-conflict family environments themselves can harm children. Research has linked marital conflict to children’s adjustment problems, including behavioral and emotional outcomes.
Source:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8009335/
Research on marital conflict and children’s conduct problems likewise describes marital conflict as a robust predictor of child psychological adjustment and examines evidence concerning causal pathways.
Source:
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2967412/
So “stay together and hate each other for twenty years” is not the fucking goal.
The goal is:
Build something worth keeping together.
Choose carefully.
Tell the truth.
Keep promises.
Treat each other with dignity.
Repair damage.
Remain accountable.
Protect children from adult warfare.
Do not make intimacy a weapon.
Do not continually manufacture uncertainty and then demand security.
Do not demand loyalty while preserving escape hatches for yourself.
That is completely different from romanticizing an intact address.
THE REAL FLEX IS NOT KNOWING HOW TO MANIPULATE THE OTHER SEX
Look at how childish the supposed expertise has become.
“How to make him obsessed.”
“How to make her chase.”
“How to get him to commit.”
“How to keep her interested.”
“How to trigger his masculine instinct.”
“How to activate her attachment.”
“How to make somebody afraid to lose you.”
Everybody wants cheat codes for controlling another human being.
Maybe grow the fuck up.
The goal is not to become extraordinarily skilled at manipulating someone into remaining beside you.
The goal is to become the kind of person with whom a good person can safely build.
That takes character.
And character is boring to algorithms because character cannot be demonstrated in a fifteen-second transition video.
Character takes Tuesdays.
And funerals.
And unemployment.
And sick children.
And money problems.
And disagreements.
And temptations.
And boredom.
And twenty years.
That is where the philosophy gets audited.
SHOW ME WHAT YOUR PHILOSOPHY PRODUCES
That is the standard I want back.
You say you understand men?
Show me.
You say you understand women?
Show me.
You say you understand marriage?
Show me what your principles produce when somebody is sick, broke, grieving, angry, afraid, exhausted, unattractive, sexually unavailable, temporarily unsuccessful, or simply fucking annoying.
Can your philosophy survive a normal human life?
Because pretty sentences are cheap.
“A real man…”
“A feminine woman…”
“A high-value man…”
“A high-value woman…”
Who gives a shit?
Can you keep your word?
Can you be trusted?
Can you apologize?
Can you forgive something genuinely forgivable?
Can you distinguish a boundary from manipulation?
Can you distinguish disagreement from abuse?
Can you hear “you were wrong” without constructing an entire alternate universe in which being confronted makes you the victim?
Can you love without constantly conducting experiments?
Those are receipts.
STOP MISTAKING A MICROPHONE FOR AUTHORITY
That is the sickness underneath the sickness.
Everybody has distribution now.
Authority used to require some demonstrated relationship between the claim and reality.
Now presentation can substitute for evidence.
Ring light.
Microphone.
Aesthetic apartment.
Little subtitles.
Sad piano.
Twenty thousand likes.
“Men need to hear this.”
Why?
Who the fuck are you?
Not as an insult.
Literally.
What is the evidence behind the claim?
What have you built?
What have you maintained?
What data are you using?
What alternative explanation did you rule out?
Where did this sentence come from?
Did you reason your way into it?
Did your mother tell you?
Did your ex hurt you?
Did a therapist explain something that applied specifically to you?
Did you hear another creator say it?
Did that creator hear somebody else say it?
Did everybody simply repeat the same fucking sentence until its origin disappeared?
Those are important questions.
YOUR BROKEN FAMILY IS NOT HUMAN NATURE
That is the point.
Maybe your father disappeared.
Maybe your mother was cruel.
Maybe your parents hated each other.
Maybe every relationship you witnessed was transactional.
Maybe men repeatedly betrayed you.
Maybe women repeatedly manipulated you.
Maybe nobody taught you how healthy conflict works.
I am not mocking that.
Those things can shape a human being profoundly.
But healing cannot mean forcing the rest of civilization to inhabit your adaptation.
If you learned that attachment is dangerous, you may interpret normal vulnerability as weakness.
If you learned that people disappear, you may test people constantly to prove they will remain.
If you learned that disagreement precedes abandonment, you may interpret disagreement as danger.
If you learned that affection is leverage, you may withdraw affection to regain control.
Those adaptations may make perfect sense given what happened to you.
They can still destroy a healthy relationship.
That is the tragedy.
A survival mechanism can outlive the environment that made it useful.
And if nobody examines it, somebody eventually gets on Instagram and teaches the survival mechanism to three million strangers as “relationship wisdom.”
YOUR WOUNDS DESERVE COMPASSION.
THEY DO NOT DESERVE LEGISLATIVE POWER OVER SOMEBODY ELSE’S LIFE.
Tell your story.
Tell the truth about what happened.
Warn people about genuine abuse.
Explain the mistakes you made.
Explain what you learned.
But maintain the intellectual honesty to distinguish:
“This happened to me.”
from:
“This is what men are.”
Distinguish:
“My father did this.”
from:
“This is masculinity.”
Distinguish:
“My mother tolerated this.”
from:
“This is femininity.”
Distinguish:
“My relationship failed this way.”
from:
“Relationships work this way.”
One is testimony.
The other is doctrine.
And when doctrine is built from unexamined dysfunction, multiplied by algorithms, rewarded by outrage, repeated by creators, defended by identity, and consumed by millions of young people who have barely lived yet, that doctrine can become socially corrosive whether or not anybody centrally planned it.
That is the actual danger.
THE ANSWER IS NOT MEN AGAINST WOMEN.
That is another trap.
The answer is adults against bullshit.
Good men and good women have infinitely more in common with each other than either has with manipulative people of their own sex.
A good woman does not need men to become pathetic so she can feel secure.
A good man does not need women to become submissive objects so he can feel masculine.
A good woman can hear:
“You were wrong.”
A good man can hear it too.
A good woman does not manufacture jealousy to prove that she matters.
A good man does not manufacture fear to prove that he leads.
Neither needs endless testing because both understand that trust is built through repeated truthful behavior.
That is what should be normalized.
AND MEN: STOP FUCKING PUTTING UP WITH IT
Not through violence.
Not through hatred.
Not through some revenge movement against women.
Through standards.
Do not date contempt.
Do not marry chaos hoping marriage will cure it.
Do not reproduce with somebody whose character you are already terrified of.
Do not ignore the family system you are marrying into.
Do not assume beauty compensates for dishonesty.
Do not confuse chemistry with compatibility.
Do not let the fact that good women exist become a character reference for a specific woman who repeatedly demonstrates that she is not behaving like one.
Evaluate the person in front of you.
And when somebody repeatedly shows you that their idea of love requires manipulation, provocation, humiliation, secret tests, and perpetual uncertainty:
Stop trying to win the test.
Leave the classroom.
You never needed the grade.
THE STANDARD IS SIMPLE
Respect is reciprocal.
Accountability is reciprocal.
Honesty is reciprocal.
Loyalty is reciprocal.
Listening is reciprocal.
Sexual dignity is reciprocal.
Emotional consideration is reciprocal.
Freedom comes with responsibility.
Boundaries apply to both people.
Nobody gets to commit an offense and then erase it by criticizing the other person’s emotional reaction.
Nobody gets to cite trauma as permanent diplomatic immunity from accountability.
Nobody gets to turn personal pain into universal law.
Nobody becomes an expert because an algorithm found an audience for their wound.
And nobody should hand the architecture of their future family to strangers whose only demonstrated achievement is being extremely confident on a smartphone.
Your family history matters.
Study it.
Your wounds matter.
Heal them.
Your experiences matter.
Learn from them.
But understand the boundary:
Your trauma is evidence.
It is not a constitution.
Your autobiography is testimony.
It is not sociology.
Your phone is a broadcasting device.
It is not a credential.
And if the philosophy you are preaching consistently requires contempt, secret tests, jealousy, manipulation, disposability, and perpetual warfare between men and women, maybe the problem is not that the rest of humanity has failed your philosophy.
Maybe your philosophy is fucking garbage.
