Today, a line of HTML changed what a human can do.

Its memory begins inside the product that deployed it. Its usefulness is bounded by the information somebody copied into it. When the source changes, the chatbot becomes stale until another system, another sync, another upload, or another employee catches it up.

The Web Learned How to Embed Everything Except the Human
The history of the web is a history of increasingly powerful things becoming embeddable.
First, a page could contain text and images.
Then it could contain audio, video, maps, forms, payments, feeds, social posts, analytics, and entire applications.
Each advance changed distribution because the object no longer had to remain where it was created. A video could play on a site that did not host the video. A map could function inside a page that did not build the map. A payment could begin inside a store that did not construct a banking network.
But when the web tried to represent a human being, it kept embedding fragments.

The easiest way to misunderstand this is to look at the conversation box and decide the category from the shape of the interface.
